Brief Answer:
Almost two weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
If you stop taking the pain pills then it will take almost two weeks for the effect of pills to wash off completely out of your system. If you have been taking the pills occasionally then there is no need to worry. In case you are taking them regularly then do get your renal function evaluated to rule out any long term effects on the kidneys.
Regular intake of acetaminophen or ibuprofen can cause cryporchidism in baby. Taking opioid pain killers regularly can cause congenital heart defects and other defects in the baby. These are best if avoided during pregnancy. Get an anomaly scan at 22nd week to rule out all these conditions.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

I'm very concerned because Ive taken on a daily basis Oxycodone or methadone , that the hospital will take blood test and go back 3 months . Will they be able to know if I stop now. Do you know what can happen as far as that goes I live in GA.

Brief Answer:
Can be detected by a blood test.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If you stop taking oxycodone now, they can know if they do a hair test or they find any clue regarding your drug intake. You need to stop taking the medicine gradually to decrease the withdrawal symptoms. The chances of fetal cardiac defects are present. So it is best to go for a regular antenatal scans and fetal echocardiography to detect any abnormality early.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
