How Long After Taking Gynaset Should I Expect Periods?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Jul 2015
Question: Hello doctor,
I am diagnosed with PCOD. Missed a period, last month. Doctor suggested Gynaset (2 tabs per day) for 5 days. Its been 3 days since I stopped. No withdrawal bleeding. I am a virgin, sexually inactive, so no chance of pregnancy either. How much longer will it take for that to occur?
Also I have been suggested Metformin tablets. When should I take them? Should I take them after periods occur and complete or now, before?

Brief Answer:
wait for 2-3days to get period and.start metformin now only.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM,

I can understand your concerns,

After taking gyneset usually bleeding starts after 3-5days.so you should wait for 2-3days

You can start tablet metformin as it helps in regulating periods and decreasing symptoms of pcos.

I suggest that you need lifestyle's changes like healthy and balanced diet, daily exercise including brisk walk.it will help in treating pcos symptoms.

To regulate period you should take birth control pills( prescription drug) consult your Gynecologist about it.

Hope this helps.

feel free to ask further.

Thanks.
