Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

This is an excellent question. If your doctors have decided that you need a biopsy of the prostate they will use a probe which will into your body through your rectum.

when this probe reaches the area of the prostate they can use a device to obtain biopsies from multiple areas of the prostate.

These biopsies will then be sent to a pedophile just who will look at them under the microscope to determine if there is any changes within the prostate suggestive of cancer.

Thanks again for sending your question. Please let us know if you have any additional specific concerns.

Sincerely,

do they use a needle through the intestinal wall? or a scalpel? and I thought a pedophile was a child molester not a lab tech

Detailed Answer:
Apologize for the typo!

It should have read the sample will be sent to a pathologist....who will then review the sample and generate a diagnosis.

This is done through the use of a very thin needle which will gather multiple core biopsies through the bowel wall.

Thanks again for the query,

Let me know if I can be of any additional assistance,

Sincerely,
