Brief Answer:
Fertile days explained.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to next period due date. In case of regular period with 28-30 days duration, the fertile days will be from 11th-18th days of each cycle. In your 35 day cycle (count 27 OCT as day 1 and exclude Dec 1 as it will be day 1 of next period) the fertile days are from 18th to 25th day- 13th Nov to 20nd Nov.
Your ovulation date would fall around 20 days after the first day of the last cycle, i.e., you might have had ovulation around 15th Nov. in the last cycle. Now the ovulation is expected around 20-21 Dec. An ovum remains alive for a maximum of 24 hours and sperms can remain active for 3-5 days in the natural environment.
It is recommended to have sex daily during these days to have best results.
Lying down on your back a pillow beneath your buttocks is considered the best position.
Having sex at night just before sleeping is preferred because female tends to lie down for longer time without any activity and thus assisting in spermatogenesis ascent.
Cervical mucous changes during the fertile period and becomes more slippery, wet and clear - it's often described as having the look and feel of uncooked egg whites - indicating ovulation. The thick white mucus suggests end of ovulatory phase.
Checking daily body temperature is an easy method of confirmation of the fact that ovulation just happened but it gives no idea of the time when ovulation is about to occur so that one can have intercourse to match with ovulation.
Instead of temperature charting or cervical mucus method you can use ovulation prediction kits also called as LH kits which detect LH in urine and after that ovulation follows in 12-24 hours.
With this protocol, chances of pregnancy can be maximized.
