How Can Fever Along With Skin Rashes In A Child Be Treated?

Question: Sir my son is 12 years old and having fever for last three days around 101 .from today morning we have see n some skin rashes and suspecting chicken pox.pls advice. We are giving ibugesic plus for fever is it safe?.kindly guide

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr. kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
You may give Syp. Crocin 250mg/5ml for fever. It contains paracetamol. Give 7.5 ml in case he develops fever.
I request you to kindly upload a few images of the rashes so that I am able to confirm whether its chicken pox or not. You may upload images in "Reports Section". You may apply Calamine lotion for the rashes.
