Question: Hi my menstrual cycle has always been regular. I have been on Triamcinolone injections for severe asthma. These injections stopped 6 weeks ago and this has left me with low cortisol levels which hopefully will correct themselves. The last 2 months my period cycles have been longer. I will attach chart. I do ovulate dont I?

In case that the menstrual cycle is longer, the day of ovulation may change

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid which can affect the ovulation.
In case that the menstrual cycle is longer, the day of ovulation may change.

Brief Answer:
Even if the cycle is longer, you can still ovulate.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

I already reviewed the attached reports.
I see that your cycle is longer due to Triamcinolone.
Even if the cycle is longer, you can still ovulate.
If the cycle is longer, such as 35 days, the ovulation day can be at day 21.
I recommend to use the ovulation tests to track the ovulation.

Hope it helps dear,
