Question: Hi, I've had several alcoholic drinks tonight, is it still safe for me to take 50mg of trazodone to help me sleep? It was prescribed by my psych to help deal with the side effects of the anti-depressants. I also took 10mg of lexapro this evening, as I do every evening.

Brief Answer:
You can take lexapro and trazodone.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Normally it is not recommended to take alcohol while on depression treating medications such lexapro and trazodone because it may cause you to experience symptoms of drowsiness, dizziness nervousness, difficulty concentrating, blurred vision, nausea etc.
Also it is not recommended that you stop taking these medications because it can give withdrawal symptoms.
If you occasionally had a moderate level of alcohol consumption ( two drinks) you can continue to take the medications safely without experiencing unwanted symptoms.
So as a conclusion you can take lexapro and trazodone.
Try to limit alcohol consumption.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
