Question: Hi,

I have already booked appointments with a GYN and GI but would also like to get an opinion regarding some symptomps so that I know what I should push for.

Ten years ago or more I had found this kind of weird structure/lump in my right breast and for years thought it was cancer and that I wasabout to die so I have not visited a doctor since. It has not changed since but thought I should mention.

2 years ago I had a case of back pain reflecting to foot. Used voltaren and within the next few minutes I was fine and had not had any issues since. Maybe some tine flares once every 5 months or so but no real issue and never as it was back then. I have to mention that because of work for years I had to carry heavy bugs and suitcases.

Maybe 2 or 3 years ago in instances I would see blood at the toilet but it was usually after a hard movement and often felt like something was tearing the anus. I can not locate when this last happened last but I believe it has not happened for many months, maybe close to 5-8.
Anyway, this takes us to August this year.
In XXXXXXX at the time I was expecting my period I had very light pink spotting for about a week and then my period came. It was a bit heavier but lasted the days I expected it to. It has happened once or twice in the past that instead of having 7 days of moderate floo I get 5 of a bit heavier but then have no spotting for the last two. Did not think much of it. Last month for a few hours in mid cycle I had some brown spotting. It was only for afew hours. But this takes us to August. This month I had it again, it was again mid cycle but now it lasted for about 4 days and it was kind of like yellow/brownish.

Just for a regular check up I had some blood work: everything seems normal, liver function, red blood count, white blood count, kidneys etc BUT some things were off:
- eosinophils: 0.93
- lympocytes: 4.01
- platelets: 407
-hs crp: 12.19
At that time and up to now I also have some kind of inflammation at my gums. It seems to be getting better but they were a bit inflamed. Also, I have been having since a kid issues with my skin on my hands. My hands seems always rough and dry and usually the problem is worst in my fingers: either on the sides or at the side facing the palm i get this itching sensation, then small yellow lumps form which get away by scrapping them off about 3-4 weeks later. This has been on and off for since I was a child but not sure if it is an allergy or some other skin issue. Had only had some homeotherapy done when I was about 9 and calendula, humidity and creams seems to help this. I had this also when I had the blood work.

The last thing that worries me is that I feel like my stools have been getting thinner. I have not had any other changes. I just go once per day, I don't struggle, I don't see blood. It just seems like they are thinner. Initially I thought it was because of how much food I was eating.

I can not see the discharge in my underwear anymore but today I had a bowel movement and I could see it again :( Why would it be affected by the bowel movement? I start thinking that it might come from colon and I don't realise it? i have no clue anymore. I feel sth is very wring with me :(

My question is:
- should I worry for colon or gyneacological cancer? What could cause this and persist for 3 months?
- could the issue with the vaginal discharge be related to colon?
- would the blood work cause further alarms?
- could I have advanced cancer?

I am 31. I don't take any medications and have no conditions I know of. I only took a stool softener a few days before getting my blood work done but this was not even necessary really. In May I got penicillin because I had an issue iwth my tonsils, which is very rare for me, last time i got antibiotics I was 22. In February I got the day after pill. No sexually active since March, hpv test done in August was clear. Blood work for hiv and hepatitis also clear. Swabs for syph, gon and chlamydia also clear.
I feel good, I have no real changes apart from these, appetite is fine, no other changes in bowel movements, no feeling bloated, no pain etc
Google seems to think that all these are related and I might as well get into my grave now but wanted to get a medical opinion before I talk to my doctors so that I can check what exams I should go for. Due to all this for the past month I suffer from severy anxiety. In general due to covid, house issues, monetary concerns and work stress I have not really feel relaxed for ages but now this is the cherry at the top of the cake.

Thank you in advance!

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I see the blood test results you are uploading and you are having almost normal results expect elevated eosinophils and CRP and low lymphocytes.
Elevated together with bowel issues you are having ( blood in stools and diarrhea) indicates inflammation possibly irritable bowel disease . You also may have haemorrhoids because you are having blood and pain while defecation.
Also you are having irregular periods and negative HPV test so most probably you are having fybromioma or hormonal imbalance.
I don't think that cancer can't be a suspected diagnosis.
You need to visit a gynaecologist and a gastroenterologist.
The main probable diagnoses are fibromyoma, irritable bowel disease, haemorrhoids.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, thank you for this answer. I honestly was not even thinking my bowel habits were an issue till this blood work because i read that eosinophils can be related to cancer. For the past at least 4 months I can't really remember ever seeing any blood. i just think that my stools are thinner. Would that be more alarming?

Also I have inflamed gums and had the issue with my hands which is kind of like a form of eczema that i have been having since a child, could that be the reason for the inflamtion indicators in the blood work?

Lastly, can the vaginal discharge be related to any colon issues? i have seen that this is extremely rare but it just seems like many things are going wrong and have no clue why this would happen. i have never had any issues with my vagina but my mom did had a fibromyoma when she was around 40. Could this make this case more likely?

Again thank you for the answer

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.

The gum inflammation together with possible irritable bowel disease can make the eosinophils rise.
The eczema issues you had since a child is also likely to cause the changes in blood formula.

Irritable bowel disease is more likely than cancer.
Also, fibromyoma is more likely than other uterine diseases for your age.
Ana abdominal ultrasound is needed.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
