Question: Hi
I had my periods on 1-5 XXXXXXX and had unprotected intercourse with my partner on 12 XXXXXXX and took unwanted 72 within 3 hours and now bleeding starts today i.e 17th XXXXXXX I am not sure if its period bleeding because i am not feeling any cramps or pain and till now no heavy flow. A bit scared, do i need to take pregnancy test? I am also having a problem of irregular periods from many years due to thyroid. What could be the possible reason?

Brief Answer:
Due to the effect of unwanted 72.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bleeding that you are having now is a withdrawal bleeding due to high dose hormonal pill unwanted 72 that you have taken. This bleeding will subside on its own in next few days.
Your next periods may be delayed by a few days due to the pill. This bleeding is not related to pregnancy.
Hope this answers your question.
