Changes in the rhythm in the heart beat is commonly seen in conditions wherein there is defect in the impulse conduction system of the heart. Such conditions have to be diagnosed at the earliest and treated. Do get an EKG done as soon as possible. This test will surely identify the pattern and cause of the rhythm disturbances.
If the irregularity in the rhythm is occasional then do get a HOLTER monitoring done.
Stress does but rarely produce such rhythm disturbances.
