Question: Hello I'm a women of 65. I have several known illnesses first I do have COPD it's not from smoking! My current Plumb doctor has me on oxygen 7/24 says If I want to live longer. With out my oxygen on I can and been known to go down in high to low 80's. I usually stay around 94 to 95 with oxygen on. I got just sick a lot might be this neuropathy they tell me I have...well we are not sure but was tested and I DO have COPD. I Had first time out a heart attack and never knew it..but lots of chest pain, then one day I was in the ER and I had a stent put in my LAD which is large one. I have Mirco Veins they just did a angogram last month on the front of my heart and two blockages and can't be fix. My heart isn't getting enough blood. I had one stroke Oct 2012, and another one that was down graded to TIA last Aug 2012 after 4 days in hospital.
I had my first EMG first doctor said I had serve Sensory Polyneuropathy with (Plastic)? I have drop foot which I never heard of before seeing an Ortho type doctors all said I had drop foot?? I been getting worse. The second doctor when the first said he couldn't help me....he did also an EMG they didn't understand why I couldn't feel the large pins and why my muscles didn't do what they expected...they just didn't understand my body? I had a third one done that was the first time I had a doctor call me names....I tell you I never heard any of these diseases in my life. Please I want to be normal!!!! My husband goes with me to all my apts. I also have a hearing lost....I have since childhood also. I just don't hear all you say is all. I contacted my older sister and she told me that she has Neuropathy also and has diabetes as well. I have a mild form of diabetes and the doctor rule out that is my cause of my Neuropathy. My sister went on to tell me our mother had Neuropathy as well. I don't remember my mother ever talking about her health or signs...but then she didn't raise me. My father raised me he use to walk on the sides of his feet would buy and have repair his special shoes he would walk with a mild gate that would be his feet leaning out ward.
I didn't know why I couldn't stand and wait in lines since I was a child? I couldn't even in high school how we use to wait a lot for things. II would end up sitting down on cold cement when I couldn't stand any longer, because I just couldn't stand for long. I have baby pictures where you can see my feet and how weird they look they were turn? I had a weakness in my response to when my PCP would do a exam and hit my knees and I remember he was puzzle by it. He would ask me questions that was when I was in high school. I love sports so I would pass whatever he wanted off as I got hurt or it's nothing....he went on and nothing ever became of this weakness my PCP found back when I was a kid.
I started falling as I grew older first I thought it was weak ankles and would tell anyone that saw me trip or fall it was weak ankles. I never went and got help.
I did fall working. I injured my knee, back, shoulder over the years. Nothing was ever fix. They did discover I have socilios (S spine) when that was discover I was told I was too old to get it fix I was 20
I was born with a tumor in my brain it isn't doing anything it isn't growing it is in the horn area and deep.
I have a cyst sitting on top of one of adrenal XXXXXXX it's 2cm and it was found thru CT scan 2010/11 no one has done anything / the reader of my CT scan suggested a washout and revalue look.
I had my apendex out in 1989, I had my gladder remove 2011 it show normal on every test and yet when the surgent went in it was ready to explode? That is when they found I had enlarge non alcoholic liver, they tell me not to worry.
I have Glocoma the close narrow angle which I had drill holes put in each eye in 2009. I have high uric acid and I don't understand why? my pcp nurse told me it's what I eat.
I now have my left leg and left foot drop and it is bigger or swollen most of the time and hurts and the foot is burning all the time. I have charle horses for years as well so bad all the way up to my hips etc.I get charle horses on both sides.
Now my right foot burns like my left side..my right knee hurts as well.........I will get this numbness on both sides that will run up and down together?? Or sept sometimes too? weird.
I can be a running target I have this stuff stay all the time and other things come n go and still some just give me tons of pain all the time.
I fall a lot and broken my foot, hand and had to have hand surgery April 2013 which has cause some lost of use. They said I lost some bone between my wrist and thrumb. I have a walker I use out side. I have a cane I use also but doesn't neither stop me from falling.
I have strange pain for unknown reasons in my chest, armss, hands, and ankles, knees that get so stiff and sometimes can't move......if my ankles stays with pain and it makes me fall a lot.
I now wear braces so I can stop falling...but they hurt or rub my ankle still working on thee brand new ones.
I have trouble lots of it with my GI....I go thru loose to watery bowls to stable back again....pain pain sometimes too..
I get kidney stones at lease every month? or every other month. I also have UTI's like all the time...
I seem to get lots of weird infections. I get headaches and dizziness.....I now getting my dizziness which I had for years more often at lease weekly but the heart doctor says it's my heart.
My heart will do blood pressure that goes under 50 to over 125 it was finally documented last month at the hospital.
I usually get nurses turn off the machines so they don'th have to hear the bells or lights..but this time I had a nurse who saw it and didn't turn it off. I can understand not wanting to know.
I am the worse or hardest stick to get blood from my arms and putting in IV's.....I am very good about letting me work on me even their best have trouble....they have to bring in the man with the machine to get a IV in me.
This last time it took two trys with the machine??? to find my veins.
I have a deform one n my neck they found it with my Last TIA / stroke in 2012 Aug. only one is working right the other isn't working very well at all.
So I don't know what is really wrong........I have ask my neuropathy doctor for testing for my genes to be STUDY...
I WILL BE WILLING TO PAY FOR A GENE STUDY EVEN ONE GENE AT A TIME PLEASE.
I have 16 grandkids and I have 5 adult kids....my children are showing things with earlier then me with their knees, elbows, arms, back, and several have my Socillios like my daughter only 31 has it she also bumps under her skin I have had that / and my hsuband has something like that also and he has more skin problems then me. I did have skin cancer.
Well if any doctor out there can help me please.......just remember my body hides things...I don't know why? Or not the right test have been use? I not sure...but I am worried about my family.
I know that my mothers mother died of heart attacks/strokes grandpa lung problems// my dad dad died early his family was from Eastern Austra/Hungry so was my grandmother...My father was 10 when his dad die. I am not sure of what?
My father had diabetes and heart attacks and die 70 his heart enlarge. my mother live to 92 and heart attack. two of my mothers sisters had cancer one was breast the other was a nurse she work in a hospital died of cancer too.
