Question: hi have a lump about the size of a pea behind my ear, no pain but it's anoying,is it painful to have to remove it and how is it done, thank you

This is probably some benign subcutaneous lesion such as atheroma or fibroma.
The best and the most efficient way to remove it is surgical excision. this is performed under local anasthesia by ent-doctor or surgeon so it is not painful at all. You may feel only few minor needle pricks while anasthetic is injected.
other methods of removal are rarely used.
Wounds is usually healing very well and after it is removed it wont come back at the same place anymore. So consult your GP and ask him to find surgeon or ent who can perform this simple and short procedure.
