Getting Severe Pain Inside The Anus And Have Mild Constipation. Easy Way To Get Cure?

default
Posted on Thu, 14 Feb 2013
Question: Hello Doctor,

For past few days, there is pain inside the anus, its little heavy pain only for few seconds.

Post my pregnancy two years back i had blood stool with heavy pain and irritation in the anus.

I consulted doctor, he preferred some medicine, then it was cured with in a week. Then i did not have any issues on that. But from that time there was little flush i found outside anus. But generally i have mild consitpation.

What could be the reason for the pain i have now. but its very rare only once in a day or two

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Generally there are two most common conditions which can cause such symptoms. The first one (more probable) is anal fissure. This condition is strongly associated with constipations. Hard stool when passing the anus tears the mucosa and leaves some kind of wound. Irritation of this wound gives strong rectal pain, especially when passing the stool. Fresh blood in stool (not mixed with it) appears and some mucus can be also present.
Second condition is hemorrhoid. This is also caused by constipations, however gives less pain and it appears when thrombus in the hemorrhoid is present. Also fresh blood is very characteristic for this condition.
To have treated both conditions, you should follow this steps:
- avoid constipations (increase fiber XXXXXXX products and mineral water intake) and do not push hard on stool
- have sitz baths with Quercus Cortex twice a day
- wash your rectum after every stool and keep it clean and dry
- hemorrhoids suppositories (available without pescription) should be helpful
- get prescription for Nitroglycerine gel
Such treatment should cause complete healing in a week or so.
If it wont help or you have noticed any blood mixed with stool, abdominal pains, weight lost, nausea, colonoscopy should be performed.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Thanks for your clarification doctor.

Right now i suffer only from pain inside the anus. Even though it is very rare and only for few seconds. Not very major.

Hello!

If you have been following advised steps and this has caused improvement, you should just continue it for some more days. If you havent followed this steps, please try this treatment first. Otherwise, colonoscopy seems reasonable to have clear situation.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
