Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The swelling is normal and should resolve in 24 to 48 hours. It is related to the minor trauma that may have occurred during masturbation. It will not have any long term negative effects.

Pain during urination would occur if there was any evidence of infection. Other evidence of infection would be discoloured urine or semen, abdominal pain.

In terms of which to use; there are different options, (1) you can use a water based lubricant that would normally be used during intercourse. Water based lubricants are available over the counter and include KY jelly, astroglide, XXXXXXX

(2)You can also XXXXXXX vaseline or any body oils

Avoid anything with alcohol or anything used for sanitary reasons (soaps, shampoos, hand sanitisers).

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thanks a lot Doctor.i was really tensed actually..
so which is better using Coconut oil or Vaseline??
actually this Vaseline is some chemicals right?so that will make any problem for the glans??
so this trauma is because of the roughness??
is there any precaution that i have to take, like not wearing underwear or anything like that??
thanks for the answer .....

HI

Either the coconut oil or the vaseline can be used, pure coconut oil would contain no additional chemicals and may cause less irritation to the skin.

The trauma is as a result of the friction between the hand and the penis and would also be related to roughness as well.

There are no additional precautions that you need to take, it does not matter whether you wear underwear or not.

Please feel to ask if there are any additional questions

Thanks for the replay...
is there any chance to come this situation again??(i mean if i masturbate next time is there any chance to come again?) what precaution i have to take avoid this problem ?

i have another general question about masturbation...
when i did first time ejaculation happen within 2 minutes ,but in 2 nd and 3rd time it took more than 3 minutes(duration of all this masturbation is within 24 hours),so my question is it depends on the amount of semen in testicles?
i read that we have nightfall because of overflow of semen from testicles ,if it is true masturbation depends on the amount of semen in testicles...?
Or can you tell me some medical books from where i get knowledge about all this things? i am not asking about sex education.i mean structure, working and problems and reasons (i am a research student in physics,so interested working and stuffs related to anything rather than getting a solution)-can you suggest me any books to get knowledge about these matters?
thanks for the replay....

Hi

The main way to reduce the chances of recurrence would be to use enough lubrication to reduce friction. At present this is the only precaution that will help. If there is no friction, then there is no trauma to the penis and no or minimal resulting swelling.

Time to ejaculation can vary between episodes and from one male to the next. Some men ejaculate very quickly with their partners , this is called premature ejaculation and as a result require treatment.

The time for you to ejaculate can be related to penile sensitivity, psychological stress, genetics, medications. It is not likely to be related to the amount of semen in the testicles.
Some men, if there level of testosterone is low , it can affect sexual function. If you find this is the case, you can have your level assessed by a blood test by your doctor.

In terms of further reading , there are a few books available, if you check out a website called goodreads , there are quite a few books listed.

Please feel free to ask any other questions
