Question: I wonder if my visual acuity can improve after removal of silicon oil from my eye.

I am so sorry to hear about this poor visual acuity. I understand the need to see well and the anxiety to see what the visual acuity would look like after this silicon removal. The exact response is difficult and only monitoring of the visual acuity will enable us to make this response. Exercise some patience and follow up evaluations will help us decide on the trend of your vision.

I know it is a very imprecise response and because there is no clear cut response to this. Many people do not actually improve but a few do. So how you respond after the removal, remains not clear cut.
