Thanks for writing to us.

Alcohol itself can cause some reduction in immunity. As well as it causes gastric irritation by its chemical properties.

Arteether and primaquine can also cause gastric discomfort. Alcohol intake can worsen gastric problem.

So better to avoid alcohol until you are completely out of malaria and starts normal routine life without any medicine.

In malaria high temperature comes on and off which leads to tiredness. In this case you should continue paracetamol tablet round the clock with other antimalarial drugs and take rest.
