Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your questions.

1. Drinking alcohol (beer) does not in any way affect an RPR test for syphilis. Sometimes a medical condition called Lupus can cause a false positive RPR, but otherwise the test is incredibly accurate.

2. Taking Medrol 24mg, a steroid, does not in any way affect a hepatitis test. Hepatitis tests test directly for a virus, which Medrol does not affect. So the test is accurate.

I did RPR test on midd of XXXXXXX and my last possible exposure was in March. It came as negative.will that be accurate?

I did hepatitis test for anti-hcv and HbsAg, kindly confirm if that will not be affected by Medrol.

Detailed Answer:
1. Your RPR test is indeed accurate. You do not have syphilis.

2. As stated above, Medrol 24mg, a steroid, does not in any way affect a hepatitis test. Hepatitis tests test directly for a virus, which Medrol does not affect. This includes the anti-HCV and HbsAg tests. So these tests are accurate.
