Question: can asthma cause loss of appetite? I have not had an appetite for 5 days and have eaten very little. Is there more than asthma going on with me?

Brief Answer:
Treat underlying cause, loss of appetite is just a symptom

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Loss of appetite is very common symptoms and happens even with a simple cold and flu. With acid reflux, asthma diagnosis, saturation drip, chest pain, sleep apnea and pulmonary symptoms, loss of appetite is inevitable and is attributed to management of underlying cause , which is complete management of flares of asthma, adequate dosage, if not controlled shifting to long acting bronchodilators, use of CPAP Machine to control sleep apnea, adequate adjustment of acid reflux, losing weight, modifying diet and lifestyle, eating small frequent meals, reducing caloric intake, avoiding trigger foods. Only then you appetite will kick in. I would say loss of appetite here is doing you a favour and a chance to lose weight and adapt good diet and lifestyle.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
