Brief Answer:
cause for the vertigo needs to be ascertained.

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
Vertin does not increase vertigo.
It is possible that vertin is not relieving your symptoms.
There are many causes for vertigo. Broadly vertigo can be caused by diseases of the inner ear and also diseases of the central nervous system.
Vertin does not relieve all kinds of vertigo.
The cause for your vertigo should be ascertained for proper treatment.

I will be able to give an opinion if you can list out the tests performed by your ENTdoctor. If you haven't consulted one, it would be worthwhile to consult them.

Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.

The vertigo started in January 2011 affecting hearing in the left year. I have since then consulted 4 different ENT specialists out of which one is a consultant in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Hospital, XXXXXXX who was consulted in March2011 and another one a XXXXXXX consultant surgeon in Apollo Hospital XXXXXXX The latter was consulted a couple of days ago. None of them diagnosed it as balancing problem of the internal year. CT scan of the brain was done in 2011 May. Except aging of the brain no abnormality was observed. Have also consulted two different MD doctors.
Presently Apollo Hospital doctor has prescribed Vertin 48 OD for 6 weeks and also given me a chart for exercises for vertigo. Since Vertin 48 was not available I am taking two tablets of Vertin 24. I am feeling uncomfortable with increased vertigo and summer heat. Hearing aid has been prescribed for left year. What further needs to be done to alleviate suffering?

Brief Answer:
labyrinthine sedatives

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
Only examination can tell me the exact cause for your vertigo, but i can make a fair guess.
If your CT scan is normal then the problem lies in your ear.
For ear related vertigo you can ask your doctor to prescribe drugs like prochlorperazine or cinnarizine. They are stronger than vertin and will definitely control your symptoms.
See any ENT soon.

Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
