Question: Can groin glands swell in a man with a UTI or is that associated with a more serious infection like the bladder?

Yes groin glands (lymph nodes) can get enlarged in case of a urinary tract infection. But that is rare. Its more commonly seen in STDs and late stages of cancer (which is uncommon at your age).

I would suggest that you get yourself tested for STDs and get clinically examined by a physician to help reach a diagnosis and subsequent management.

Thank you. Ive been on amoxicillin for a uti @ 60 hours now and doesnt seem any better. Is this usually whats given or could i be on the wrong meds?

Amoxicilline is usually not given for uti. Take nitrofurantoin of ofloxacin. But these are prescription medicines.

Thank u for the advice. After seeing the dr today, he prescribed nitrofurantoin as u recommended. Hopefully on my way to less discomfort
