Telmisartan (INN) /tɛlmɪˈsɑrtən/ is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (angiotensin receptor blocker, ARB) used in the management of hypertension. It is marketed under the trade name Micardis (by Boehringer Ingelheim),"Cresar" by (Cipla) among others.

Stiffness of thumb in any case not related to use of angiotensin 2 receptor.Alternative medication with diet restriction and life style change is commanded. Can have salt restricted diet.
