Does Nexplanon Start Working As Contraceptive Within One Week Of Insertion?

Question: My girlfriend got on nexplanon inserted in her arm and was told by her doctor that less than one woman out of 100 would get pregnant on it. But in order for it to be in full effect she needed to use condoms for one week before relying on nexplanon as the contraceptive. We waited one week and a day before we had sex just relying on nexplanon because we dont want any accidents. We have had sex very regularly just relying on nexplanon, after waiting a week and a day, and we wanted to know if we are safe

So yes, you are quite safe, and there is no risk of a pregnancy.
The Nexplanon is a wonderfully effective contraceptive, with a failure rate of 0.5 %, that is 0.5 per 100 women users, or almost 1 in 200 women users.

Thank you for you time. We use withdrawl too. But we also know withdrawl is not very safe on its own but with the nexplanon being so safe by itself . Withdrawl can only help not hurt i would thin

No need to use withdrawal.

WIthdrawal by itself is not safe, quite risky in fact.
But Nexplanon is a very effective contraceptive, there is no need to practise withdrawal while using the Nexplanon.
