Does Nattokinase Interact With Daflon?
Question: I have venous insufficiency and venous insufficiency caused by I believe an injection of depo provera that made a very mild case of reflux that I has a lot worse. It's been since May 18th, 2016 that I received the depo. I've also read that depo or progesterone can cause weeking of the leg ligaments and muscle further exacerbating the problem. Is this true? Also is there any hope that my insufficiency will improve once is completely out say around late December or late January? Finally, I have been taking Daflon 500 along with Horse chestnut twice a day to help with managing the symptoms of my insufficiency, can I also add to that Nattokinase or will that have too much of a blood thinning effect with these other supplements putting me at risk for internal bleeding? Thank you

If you received depo injections over a prolonged period of time, then it is definitely possible that it contributed to your venous disease.
If only one dose of the depo was received then this link is not as likely.
Thrombophletitis (inflammation of the veins) is one of the side effects of continued use of this medication but it thought to occur in less than 10% of persons using it (10 out of 100)
The inflamed veins are more likely to result in venous insufficiency.
The half life of a drug is the time it takes for the amount of drug in the body to decrease by half. It takes approximately 3 to 4 half lives for a drug to be completely eliminated.
The half life of depo is 50 days.
This means that it would take approximately 5 to near 7 months for complete elimination but the levels would be very low before this point.
If the depo caused damage to the veins or surrounding areas in any way, then stopping it would prevent any further injury and some improvement may occur
There are no known interactions between daflon and nattokinase so they can be used together.
Daflon is not classified as a blood thinner. It works by reinforcing venous tone and reducing venous inflammation.
It is not going to thin out your blood or increase your risk of bleeding or interact with the nattokinase in that way.

Thank you very much, what about combined with horse chestnut? I'm also taking horse chestnut. I didn't know that daflon could cause vein inflammation. How long after using it? I just started taking it, when should I stop?

I still have has a period. Does Daflon 500 stop or delay peroid? If so, can I use this as a natural way to control heavy period from adenomyosis, fibriods?
