From the reports, the following are the problems. HIGH SENSITIVE C - REACTIVE PROTEIN (HsCRP) -- 4.57 mg/L HOMOCYSTEINE -- 16.2 μmol/L TOTAL CHOLESTEROL PHOTOMETRY 188 mg% 125 - 200 HDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT PHOTOMETRY 41 mg% 35 - 80 LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT PHOTOMETRY 135 mg% 85 - 130 TRIGLYCERIDES PHOTOMETRY 83 mg% 25 - 200 LIPOPROTEIN (LPA) 45.6 mg/dl TOTAL TRIIODOTHYRONINE (T3) -- 99 ng/dl 60 - 200 TOTAL THYROXINE (T4) -- 7.4 μg/dl 4.5 - 12.0 THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE -- 0.42 μIU/ml 0.30 - 5.5 FREE TRIIODOTHYRONINE (FT3) -- 3.38 pg/ml 1.7 - 4.2 FREE THYROXINE (FT4) -- 1.16 ng/dl 0.70 - 1.80 VITAMIN B-12 -- 282 pg/ml 25-OH VITAMIN D (TOTAL) -- 25.38 ng/ml I have consulted a General physician and he prescribed me the following medicines. Macfolate Plus tablets daily @ 10AM Atorfit CV 10 capsules daily @ 10PM Could you please let me know that the above prescribed medicines are appropriate for my current health status? Are these safe medications? If yes, can I use Generic medicines for Atorfit CV 10? Earlier I used Homochek tablets to control Homocysteine which reduced from 34.44 μmol/L to 16.2 μmol/L right now. I also had Thyroid TSH which reduced from 16.64 μIU/ml to 0.42 μIU/ml right now, due to Thyrofit tablets taken daily at early morning. I am still continuing the same tablets. Also please suggest me whether I should continue the Thyrofit tablets for some more time, and if yes, till how many months? Attaching the complete health checkup profile report. Does the above 2 medicines Macfolate Plus and Atorfit CV 10 has any interaction with food? How much gap I should maintain for these medicines after food? Thanks, XXXX.

Brief Answer: Medicine are fine but you need to continue thyrofi Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for your query. Yes medicines look quite appropriate for your reports. The only issue is need for atorfitCV vs generic atorvastatin. I assume you have been prescribed it due to high CRP and homocysteine. As of now you can continue same meds. No need for any gap between two as there is no major known interaction. Of course thyroid meds you need to take on empty stomach at least 30min before rabeprazole. After three month recheck abnormal reports. Let me know if I can assist you further.
