I read your question and i understand your cocnern . Demodex mites are treated with anthelmintics like ivermectin which is a Pediculicide derived from fermentation of a soil-dwelling actinomycete, Streptomyces avermitilis. It literally paralyses parasites and cause their death.

Along with ivermectin, topical use of antibiotics like erythromycin ointments, use of cholinergics like pilocarpine if intra ocular pressure is high can be used. spreading an ointment at the base of the eyelashes at night to trap mites as they emerge from their burrow and/or move from one follicle to another. A tea tree oil product (Cliradex) can be used. Terpinen-4-ol is the most active component of tea tree oil.
