Does Itraconazole Interact With Restylane?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Jun 2016
Question: I was prescribed itracanozole for a toenail nail fungus infection. After 2 days of taking the anti fungal medicatation, I woke up this morning with swollen face on each side of my mouth were I received restylene injections approximately one month ago. Is there a possible drug interaction between intracanozole and restylene?
Thanks in advance!

Brief Answer:
stop antifungal, take topical use, consider toe nail surgery

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. its not the interaction between itraconazole and the restylane you had a month ago, Its the side effect of its use ,edema and swelling of face or any other body extremity is common with the use of itraconazole. Use topical ointments for toenail fungal infections, if the toenail is ingrown, try to consider toe nail removal under local anesthesia. Let your doctor decide what is best for you.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
