Question: my son has just been told he has xyychromosone, does this mean he can't have his own children?

I am Dr Aslam here to help you.

Although XYY chromosome can be associated with features like tall stature and some behavioural problems,it is not a cause for hypo-gonadism,and so are usually fertile.
Unlike other chromosomal anomalies like klinefelter syndrome(XXY),infertility is not a problem of XYY karyotype.
