Do Ayurvedic Medicines Help Treat Schizo-affective Disorder And Severe Anxiety?
Question: Hello, I am tapering off of Latuda, klonopin, buspar, and propranolol. I was taking these for schizoaffective disorder and anxiety. After I stop them, I want to try ayurvedic medications. Do you think ayurvedic meds will help me with schizoaffective disorder and severe anxiety and I also have issues with depression and insomnia. And how soon after I stop my current meds will I be able to start taking the ayurvedic medications?

1. As you are suffering from schizoaffective (schizophrenia + bi polar disorder) thus remember that long term maintenance, modern medicine can be tapered and sometimes be replaced with Ayurveda medicines since they allows person to live a quality life without being hampered by the symptoms.
2. I usually manage my patient(s) on the line of Unmada and/or Atatvabhinivesh which is mainly because of lack of mental discipline, over indulgence in negative thoughts/activities and negative emotions like hatred, anger, rage, jealousy etc are known to cause imbalance mental energy (chiefly XXXXXXX and tama) which in turn leads to pathogenesis of mental diasorders.
PS. do let me know whether you are suffering from any excessive mental stress/strain in daily/ personnel life.
3. Do let me know the time (days/months) remaining of tapering of drugs since Ayurveda medicine can be started the next day.
