Brief Answer:
Please elaborate.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

I would like to know if this is your first cycle with the pill, if you made up for one missed dose and if you have had any significant history to be reported.

Presuming that you made up for a single missed dose, there is nothing to worry. You can continue with the rest of the pills as usual. There is enough protection as the medication has been covered.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Negligible chance of conception.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

In this scenario, you need not worry about failure of contraception. Moreover, as this happened in the first week of the cycle, pregnancy cannot happen as ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of he next cycle. Please continue with the rest of the pills regularly.

Hope this helps. Please contact if you need any more information.

Answered by Dr. Shanti Vennam (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Not necessary if this is not the first or second cycle.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing again.

Use of additional contraception is not necessary if this is not the first couple of cycles with the pill. Just continue with the pills regularly. This would be sufficient. Barrier contraception can be used to provide additional protection, if you wish, or if you continue to miss the pills further.

Hope this helps.

regards,
Shanti.V.
