Abortion done before 4-5 weeks of pregnancy cannot be detected. Ultrasound may lead to detection of enlargement of uterus.

Due to a few issues at home me and my husband has decided on an abortion which I got done in my 6th week of pregnancy . But I have been diagnosed by an ovarian cyst of 8 cm 4 months ago and have my next scan in 2 days . If surgical D and C was done properly after abortion, and no complain of bleeding after that now, then ultrasound will not be able to pick any thing.
Alternatively, you can postpone the ultrasound planned for cyst evaluation for 2-3 weeks.
Even, if you have to undergo ultrasound presently and doctor raises query about pregnancy status, then just tell her that you had some period irregularity with heavy bleeding. Many a time, abortion can occur unnoticed due to some congenital malformations.
