Can Oral Typhoid Pills Be Taken Twenty-four Hours After The Third Dose?
Question: Hi,
I need to take the oral typhoid pills for travel in SE Asia. I took my first one today (wed), will take the second on Friday, the third Sunday, but then I leave on a long flight. Can I take the 4th pill just 24 hours after the 3rd pill? Otherwise, how long can it be out of the fridge?
I will be flying overseas first- and already know I should have taken the oral pills a week prior to my trip- yet this is where I stand now, and my doctor has said it is better to take them now than not at all.

yes oral typhoid vaccine has to be refrigerated. Go ahead and take the 4th dose 24 hours after 3rd dose like your doctor has suggested. There is no other option.

Thank you so much. To clarify my doctor didnt know i was leaving so soon-as my dates changed. How long can the pill be put of the fridge? Then i can wait the XXXXXXX limit and take it. Still probably not 48 hours- but a bit past 24
