Question: Hi, Can Hashimotos Thyroiditis cause Complex ovarian cysts?
2 inch complex ovarian cyst found, CA125 at 16, doctor doesn't seem worried, wants to F/U in 6 weeks.

Scared to wait that long, should I try to get pelvic MRI?

Hello,

As per the present knowledge, Hashimotos Thyroiditis will not cause ovarian cysts.

Your CA125 is normal.

Hashimotos Thyroiditis may cause sub fertility.

Small ovarian cysts are usually followed up after 3 to 4 months, as they grow slowly.

There is absolutely no need to get he pelvic MRI now.

Your doctor has advised you correctly. No need to be scared. Please relax, and follow up in 6 weeks time.

Let me know if you have more concerns.

Good luck
