It's been up and down with the humidity. I am having shallow breaths this morning. I think all the stress of the weekend added up and released more mediators and raised the inflammation

Today in three hours, I visit my new psychiatrist. If you remember the last one was retiring. I best write down things to make sure we get the info understood and medication correct

I did get a diagram from an acquaintance who was trying to be helpful. The chart was a diagnostic flow chart for reading pft. I looked it over and followed it through and it said no emphysema, yay!!, it did lead to asthma and inflammation.

Yes I'll be going to work in a few minutes. I'll let you know the name later, I have it written down in the car

All I can think of is to leav here and move home

Oh I hope that tonight I can lay down and find a way to just relax. Last night I mostly wrapped up that huge project. Now I must work with another person to input the info.

That was part of the weekend stress. Say can the stress from that continue for additional time even though it's finished? I mean ten to twenty more hours after its finished?

Yes, effect of stress and anxiety can be seen even after 10-20 hours.
But as far as I know, I am sure you are not having stress free period. There is always background stress in your case.
Do you agree on this? If yes then practically there is no stress free period in your case.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

First I will see dr Yajuan XXXXXXX today. I will keep you informed.

As per your answer, it's not what I want to admit to but yes I want to agree with you. I actually needed a dr to say it first. With that said, I can ask the question that has plagued me the most. If it's constant, does that mean the inflammation is ongoing and that every opportunity it gets the chance my body in its highly sensitized condition releases more mediators into my blood and lungs.

Oh and what different types of mediators are released.

And so you know. I am being very very careful as I type and drive. Buttttt I am feeling more at ease after your last response

Brief Answer:
Why are you not listening to me?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I said that you are having background stress all the time despite of not thinking about stress and anxiety. So I thought you may not like my casual talk so said sorry.
And why are you not listening to me?
I know you are multi tasker but I care for your life. A mistake of milliseconds can cause life threatening accident. So please don't do any correction while driving.
Please it's a request.
You must be looking to your iPad for 1 second and this is enough for accident.
Tell me Honestly, is typing distract you?
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

You can keep your casual talk going. Typing distracts me if I am typing. If I use voice recognition, I can speak my answer, I just have to correct its mistakes.

Ok, Had the appointment, She is of Oriental heritage, Very nice, very open to discussions. She agrees with the anxiety issue. She believes the Lexapro is not good enough so she is changing it to get me something close but with a little more in it to relax and calm. She also is prescribing propenol to help.

I have mentioned online groups for help. She agrees with groups but not online but in person.

So we now have to watch see what the new prescription will do.

The online group part is online group therapy counseling for stress, We have decided that I should avoid online and do it in a actual setting.

The propranol is not the actual replacement for lexapro but in addition to helping.

When I pick them up at pharmacy later today, I will tell you product and doseages

Propranolol 10mg 2 times a day
Citalopram 40 mg 1 per day at bed

Yes I will find group therapy.

I also started taking my meds for reflux. I think it is what has bothered my throat/ upper airway. Not sure but can't hurt to stay on them.

Tonight I went on a short bike ride, probably a mile. It was 94 degrees farenheit no humidity. I took it slow. It seemed fine as I rode. When I finished, I was breathing a little harder, not much. But I did notice a small tight feeling in chest. For now I will avoid thinking of it and see if it fades away as I relax.

Yes, bike ride is good for relaxation.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, bike ride is good for relaxation.
You should gradually increase your distance and drive it slowly so that you can enjoy your ride.
And yes, you should definitely avoid thinking about stress and anxiety. This is the main thing you should do.
Along with reflux medicine, you should also follow diet restrictions and weight loss program.
Dose of Propranolol is appropriate for normal weight person.
But I have a doubt that this dose might be insufficient for your weight.
Please let me know
1. Has she considered your weight before prescribing propranolol?
2. Has she informed you about side effects of Propranolol?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

I would expect that she considered my weight, I have lost 7 pounds recently.

Ok the big news, I followed her instructions. Half a pill of each of the new meds before bed and in the morning take my Lexapro. After a week I am to drop the Lexapro and take the citalopram only and the propranolol

Last night I did not fall into heavy sleep but I felt more relaxed.

With the amount of anxiety and stress mediators I have had and the inflammation--- will it take time for the airways to return to open. even though I want to breathe fuller now, I hope the answer is yes it will take some time.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Drkaushal85 (4 minutes later)

Yes, this will take more time.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.

Yes, it will take longer time for new medicine time work because you are having so much stress and anxiety since many years.
So propranolol will take some time.
But it's good that you are feeling slight improvement after starting it. This is really a positive sign.
Did you wake up last night at 2-3 am?
How many hours you slept last night?

I want to make clear. Yes the medicine is already calming me.

My question is actually will the time for inflammation to go down take some time. And I'm sure the stress mediators will slowly go away

I did wake at 3 and dozed from that time
