Can An Infected Sebaceous Cyst In The Scrotum Be Treated?
Question: I am 17, I have a cyst in the testical sack, after examination by the doctor, he said it is harmless and can be removed by a simple procedure. I haven't had the time to get the procedure done, but yesterday somehow the cyst started leaking the pus, it is NOT painful at all, I started pressing the cyst and the pus is continuously coming out, should I continue with this? Will the cyst be eventually gone?

Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that you have posted it seems that you had what is called as Sebaceous Cyst in scrotal wall .which got infected and draining out pus .
The scrotal skin is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin.Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected.
You need to do culture and sensitivity of pus done to find out the organisms causing infection and take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report till infection is completely eradicated .
Once the infection is brought under control you will need to consult qualified General Surgeon and get it excised in Totto (along with capsule ) .It is a simple surgery done under local anesthesia as a out patient procedure .
Leaving it alone will not cure it at all and will lead it to chronic ulcer or discharging sinus .

I have two cysts like these, the bigger one has a very small pierce type of hole, through which the puss is coming out. It is coming out only when i squezz the cyst.
