Can STDs Be Transmitted From Fellatio?

default
Posted on Fri, 10 Nov 2017
Question: I received very brief mouth to penis contact with a questionable partner. After this I wrapped up to continue. Is this enough to receive an STI? I was also given a zpak the next day for an unrelated issue. I took 250mg pills for a 5 day cycle. What are my chances of being infected. No symptoms.

Brief Answer:
I suggest testing.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for writing in HealthcareMagic.

Based on your history, having even briefly oral sex, you should know that there exists a risk to get gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis.

Usually, we treat chlamydial infection with Azithromycin as you have done.

Having no symptoms it is a good news but sometimes the infected person has no symptoms or mild symptoms.

I suggest testing for these STIs in order to exclude them.

I hope my answer helps you. Feel free to ask further.
Regards.
