Brief Answer:
naproxen reduces effects of propranolol

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Naproxen decreases effects of propranolol by pharmacodynamic antagonism. For one or two days it is ok to take naproxen 250mg. But if it is needed for more duration or in more dose, propranolol dose should be increased to prevent worsening of anxiety.

Propranolol and naproxen both increase serum potassium when naproxen is used for long(more than 3-4 weeks).

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Brief Answer:
yes it is safe to take naproxen

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for follow up.

Potassium is an essential mineral in body. It is important mineral in nerve conduction and cell communication. Its optimum level in the blood should be maintained which is called serum potassium.

Yes you can take naproxen safely for a while. There will be no serious interaction. If you feel more anxiety then we can increase dose of propranolol for short duration until naproxen is going on.

Rake care.
