Brief Answer:
You may give it

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. Most likely cause of loose motions in this age group is self limiting viral gastroenteritis. It improves without any antibiotics. If he has high grade fever, mucus or blood in stools then the possibility of bacterial or parasitic infestations can be a possibility. So, you may give ofloxacin-ornidazole if he has these symptoms.

You may continue with ORS and liquids such as buttermilk, soups, lemonade etc for hydration. Start zinc supplement such as Syp ZnD or Zinconia. Give Racecadotril granules (30mg) thrice daily for faster relief.

Hopefully it will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.

Take care
