default
Posted on Tue, 19 Aug 2014
Question: I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I was consulting a family doctor on phone and she recommended me to take tab. Maintaine thrice a day and Utrox-SR twice a day.

Also, there is another gynaecologist who I am consulting in XXXXXXX She has asked me to take tab. Myprog 200 once a day. She has prescribed this medicine because I had experienced brownish spotting on a couple of days last week.

Are these tablets for the same purpose? Should I be taking all of them? Please advise .

Brief Answer:
CONFIRM SPELLING OF FIRST TWO MEDICINES.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Tab MYPROG 200 mg is progesterone soft gelatin capsule and it is essential in this condition. It helps to prevent miscarriage and support pregnancy. Complete bed rest is advisable.

2) Ultrasound scan reveals DECIDUAL reaction and it is responsible for brownish spotting. However, other parameters including fetal heart rate is NORMAL.

3) You must AVOID heavy work, lifting heavy objects, long journey, high heal shoe, uneven surface, too much up & down, sexual intercourse. Maintain genital hygiene properly.

Kindly, check the spelling of first two medicines and confirm me, so that I can comment on the same.

Waiting for your response.

Regards,
