Brief Answer:
mebendazole will be most useful; albendazole can also be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

Levaquin is levofloxacin. It is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infection. Your doctor had probably suspected some such infection and prescribed it to you. But if you are specifically asking about whipworm and roundworm infection, a 3-day course of the drug mebendazole is the ideal choice. Albendazole can also be used for the same. So I would suggest addition of mebendazole alongwith the levofloxacin you are already advised.
Consult your doctor for prescription of the above.

Hope this was useful.
Regards.

Can any of these meds be purchased over the counter

Would levaquin alone be enough to kill the worm problem

Brief Answer:
yes they can be purchased OTC

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Yes, both mebendazole and albendazole should be available over the counter. Also, levaquin might not be sufficient if it is worm infestation.
It is better to take mebendazole or albendazole in proved worm infestations.
