Can HIV Or STD Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?
Question: Hello Doctor – I went to an Asian massage parlour at the end of March 15. The Masseur was fully clothed. The massage ended with a hand job where the masseur applied oil over the penis and provided a hand job. The penis was later cleaned with a towel and I took a shower immediately. No other sexual contact was involved i.e., vaginal, oral or anal contact. I am not aware of the STI status of the Masseur.
Would like to know as to whether I am at risk of getting infected with any STI and STDs. What are the symptoms if any I should look out?
Moreover, also as to whether should I get myself tested. Requesting your advice.

HIV or STDs are not transmitted by skin to skin contact of by massage or hand job exception being herpes simplex virus (HSV) .HSV transmission is higher if lesions were present in her hands.It is unlikely with given description.
I do not see any possibility of transmission of HIV/STDs.
The symptoms like rashes,burning or itching sensation, discharge can be looked for,which is unlikely.
You can allay fears. I do not see need for STDs tests .

What is the time line within which one can see the HSV infection if any.. Thanks for the previous response
