Question: Hi Doctor! I have a question about HIV exposure from a lap dance at a strip club 2 days ago . I was wearing sweat pants and cotton underwear but noticed bruises and soreness on my penis due to prolonged rubbing on my erect penis during the lap dance. Also, I ejaculated at the end of the prolonged dance into my underwear. My penis was always in my pants but I am worried about HIV transmission because I noticed the bruises on my penis when I got home. What is my risk of HIV exposure? Would you recommend I get treatment to prevent HIV infection as I am still within the 72 hours window for prophylaxis? Thank you very much for your time.
