Which STD Or STI Can Be Transmitted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Tue, 26 Mar 2019
Question: I ask you the other day about my contact but to remind I said the following:
1. Fingered a woman with slight nail bitting possibly small like cuts on fingers
2. She touched my penis but not for long and I did not ejaculate and no fluids
3. Mild kissing no tongue
4. I sucked her breasts mildly no fluids
5. She pushed her panties while still on to my lips
No insertive sex of any kind.
I am still nervous be cause I have long time partner. I had an expensive XXXXXXX test which was a blood draw with results the following day. The result was non reactive. The test was done exactly 9 1/2 days after the incident...how reliable and accurate was this test? Very expensive...$495 USD. And, I had two other same day tests with results back same day within 30 minutes for Syphilis and Herpes both negative.
Can you tell me given my activities, and the tests done if I am truly ok? And, would you retest if you =were me? What about sex with my partner. Sorry to bother you again....notice you went to a seminar at XXXX..
I'm told this newer XXXXXXX test neetric acid has a window beginning at 4 days???!!!
If you were going to test again between 15-16 days what test would you do?
And would the combo of these two tests be more reliable than one?
Thanks Dr

Brief Answer:
Please don't worry! There is no risk for HIV.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As I said before, there is no risk to get HIV infection. If I were in your position I will not get retested for HIV and syphilis. I suggest to retest again just for HSV-2 after 3 months.

According the N A T test, there is no doubt it's a highly sensitive test. However, I have not seen a head-to-head comparison with HIV-antibody testing at three months that convinces me it is as accurate or reliable as the current gold standard. Yes, you can get both the tests done to be more sure.

I hope my answer helps you.
