Can Grocapix Gel Be Used For Hair Fall?

Question:
Dear Dr.

Hope you are doing well.

I am at Stage II of hair loss.

My hair loss is really not that noticeable and has been progressing extremely slowly for 20 years now. The hairline has receded somewhat from the front and the hair has thinned on the sides of the head at the top of the head. Despite this I can still claim that I have a full head of hair and my hair loss is not noticeable at all to other people.

There is no significant hair loss at the vertex

I have been on Rogaine Foam 5% and Propecia 1mg for the past 10 years.

I came across a product named Grocapix which they say is very effective in regrowing hair and may soon be approved by the USFDA.

I wanted to know the following:

a) Is Grocapix safe to use
b) Can I combine Grocapix with Minoxidil Foam 5% while applying it.
I cannot use Minoxidil 10% in the morning and Grocapix in the evening as Minoxidil Foam does not come in 10% variety and Minoxodil Foam has been far more helpful in regrowing hair for me than the ordinary Minoxidil liquid.
c) Is there any chance of initial hair shedding with Grocapix as this usually happens when one starts Minoxidil
d) Does Grocapix help regrow hair on the forehead (parts where there was hair, but the hairline has receded)
d) Should I add Keraglo tablet too to my daily regime and if so, should I take it lifelong?
Is Keraglo the best supplement for hair or would you recommend any other supplement?
e) I use Garnier shampoo and conditoner. Is this alright or should I use some other shampoo and conditioner. I usually find that the shampoo and conditioner that are recommended for hair loss, seem more of a marketing gimmick. Can you please suggest whether I can stick with Garnier or should I move to some other Shampoo and Conditioner which may help prevent hair fall/be more gentle on the hair.

Brief Answer:
Grocapix is safe

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am doing well. Thank you.

I understand that you are maintaining your hair very well with the present treatment. You are only at Stage 2. Then why do you want to change your treatment which is both effective and US FDA approved ?
A. Grocapix is safe to use
B. It can be combined with Minoxidil foam 5% but not at the same time.
You can actually use minoxidil 10 % foam in the morning and Grocapix in the evening. Minoxidil 10 % foam is available, maybe not Rogaine but other brands. I know about Mintop forte 10 % foam and I am actually using it on my patients.
C. In my experience Grocapix does not show initial hair shedding.
D. No, Grocapix cannot regrow hairs on the forehead which have receded. Grocapix is not superior to Minoxidil. Minoxidil is still the best. Grocapix is usually given by me for patients who are allergic to minoxidil or in whom they fail to work or effect have plateaued.
D. You need not take Keraglo men as minoxidil and finasteride is enough for treating male pattern hair loss. Keraglo men is a good hair supplement . There are several other brands which are good as well with similar combinations.
E. You may continue your shampoo and conditioner . A different brand does not make much of a difference.
I would prefer the present regime you are on. If everything is going fine why bother to change treatment.

Hope this helped,
Take care.
