Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern I would explain that this drug containes doxylamine succinate, which is an antihistamine. Antihistamines have an anticholinergic effect, which can exacerbate some eye disorders like : angle-closure glaucoma, untreated intraocular hypertension, or uncontrolled primary open-angle glaucoma.

It can also cause changes in your blood pressure (hypotension or hypertension). You should monitor your blood pressure in the first days after starting it.

Although the dose of this component is low in this drug, my advise is to use this drug with caution and stop it if you notice aggravation of your eye problems or blood pressure.

From the other hand, you should know that this product can cause sleepiness, dizziness, fatigue, constipation.

You should consult with your doctor if your flue symptoms are not relieved by this drug after 2 days of using it. I would also like to inform you that it should not be used for more than 7 consequent days.

Hope to have been of help!

Wishing all the best for this New Year,

Dr. Iliri
