Brief Answer:
colcrys is required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

allopourinol can be used to lower the uric acid levels in patients with gout attacks. Allopourinol should not be started during an attack or before a few weeks after the attack have passed, because it may precipitate a new flare. Using colcrys with allopourinol helps to reduce the risk of gout flares, so taking it along with allopourinol is recommended unless the patient has any contraindication (like liver damage) or the drug cannot be tolerated.

Kind Regards!
