Brief Answer:
There is no complete cure for COPD.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Honestly speaking, COPD is not a reversible condition. So it is not 100% curable. However, we can control this with drugs.

Lung transplant is a newer option for end-stage COPD patients (who failed on drugs). But it's success rate, cost-effectiveness is still questionable.

For Interstitial lung disease (ILD), cure and treatment depend on the type of ILD.

So please let me know which ILD you are talking about.

And my personal experience with stem cell therapy is not satisfactory.

Hope I have answered your query.

I will be happy to help you further.

Is the treatment for ILD and COPD successful in US?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Drkaushal85 (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Lung transplant is successful in the US.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The ultimate treatment for end-stage COPD and ILD is lung transplantation.

And yes, it is more successful in the US than in XXXXXXX.

Can you provide more information about the patient? It is very superficial to talk about a lung transplant.

Hope I have answered your query.

I will be happy to help you further.

What would be cost of Lung Transplant in US? which location, hospital in US lung transplant is successful. How do we register for treatment in US? is stem cell treatment successful in US?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Drkaushal85 (29 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
You need to register in the lung transplant registry first.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

For lung transplant, you need to first consult a transplant surgeon in the US.

For this, XXXXXXX clinic in Ohio is good.

So first consult there, the doctor will run further tests and determine whether lung transplant is needed or not and if needed how early it should be done.

No idea about the success of stem cell in the USA.

And the cost also depends on urgency and severity. So it is very difficult to say accurately about cost. But it will be very costly especially if you are not US citizen.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.

Brief Answer:
Are you talking about valves?

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Sorry to say but I can not understand stents.

Are you talking about valves?
Are you talking about lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS)?

In South XXXXXXX best treatment for interventional Pulmonology is CMC XXXX.

Unidirectional valves are more suitable for emphysema (COPD).
So please let me know
1. Latest PFT
2. Latest CT thorax.

Hope I have answered your query.
