Brief Answer:
Dont worry, its not dangerous

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Nothing will happen, do not worry. I want you to get back to me with the weight of your daughter....I mean the recently checked weight.

The usual dose of Cetirizine is 0.25mg/kg/dose every 12th hourly and that makes up a total dose of 0.5mg/kg/day. Alerid contains Cetirizine at 5mg/5ml and with this we would know how much is the dose which your daughter has been administered.

Kindly get back to me with the weight of your daughter and I will reassure with in scientific basis.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.

Brief Answer:
Do not worry please, nothing will happen

Detailed Answer:
Hi...with this weight, the dose is coming to 0.625mg/kg/day that she has received. Where as the recommended daily dose is 0.5mg/kg/day and a difference of 0.125mg/kg will not make a big difference in a drug like Cetirizine. Do not give anymore Cetirizine in another 24 hours and she will get the drug out of her system by herself.

I caution you to be expectant that she might be slightly drowsy for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Cetirizine is a drug will high safety profile. So I reassure you not to worry and I also have to put you a word of caution to be careful hereafter. Cetirizine is a safe drug and nothing is going to happen, but not all drugs have such high safety profile. So I urge you to be careful.

I wish your kid a speedy recovery. If you need any future medical consultation and suggestions, I will be glad to help. You can approach me at the following link. Please find the link below.
