Are Tightness At The Bottom Of Neck And Tingling Lips Signs Of HPV?

Question: Hi, i need to put my mind a rest over some concerns I have. Background: I'm a male in my late thirties, southasian, and generally in good health. For the last 2 years I have been engaging in some unhealthy behavior. I have been with many call girls and have performed oral on them, I have also been using cocaine along with drinking and smoking. This was a very difficult time for me and I engaged in these acts as a way to deal with some issues. I have stopped now however there are some physical concerns which linger. My main concern is that I feel a tightness at the bottom of my neck, i'm not sure if this is related to anxiety or whether it can be attributed to something else. I also experience tingling lips from time to time however have never had an outbreak. I have checked my neck, mouth for any signs of lesions, lumps, bumps and I do not see any. I have been reading up on HPV and i am almost certain that I do have the virus given the amount of women i have seen and the nature of their work. I don't know what to expect from here on end or how to easy my mind. Any direction would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
I would suggest screening for alk STDs

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have understood it
Since you have been engaging in active unprotected oral sex with sex workers therefore I would suggest screening for all STDs. Almost all STDs like herpes, throat gonorrhea and chlamydia, syphilis, Hpv and even Hiv can be acquired by performing oral sex on a potetially infected sexual partner. STDs may be clinically silent initially, sometimes for weeks or months and may not always present with signs or symptoms soon after infection, therefore the best way to rule out an STD would be to get yourself screened for these at appropriate intervals.

Hello Dr, thanks for your reply. I have had a STD test done and all has come back negative. My concern is that these symptons I'm experiencing are due to general anxiety however I am not sure if it really is possible for stress to produce such related symptons.

Brief Answer:
These symptoms could be related to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Thats good to know that your STD screening tests came back negative.
Tightness in neck and tingling could very well be due to anxiety, as well as due to unhealthy life style practices like drinking and cocaine.
It would be better to also take an opinion from a psychologist for anxiety issues.
