Brief Answer:
These symptoms does not indicate optic neuritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health Care Magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having large pupils and a vision of 20/15.

These symptoms does not indicate optic neuritis.
Optic neuritis will present typically with abnormal pupillary reflex, gross dimunition of vision and swelling or edema of the optic disc.

Hence no need to be worried as your vision is fairly normal and large pupils are present normally.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
These symptoms of eye strain and pain does not indicate neuritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

One dose of Macrobid will not cause optic neuritis and hence no need to be worried.
Eye strain or pain can be caused by other common causes like dryness of the eyes or by uncorrected refractive errors.

Hence no need to be worried. These common causes need to be confirmed by examination and treated accordingly.
Hence do consult a eye doctor for examination if you have not consulted a eye doctor.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
Yes refractive error can be found out during eye examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

Yes refractive error can be found out during eye examination. Examination with machines and lights indicate eye tests like retinoscopy to look for refractive error, ophthalmoscopy for examination of optic nerve...

Since you have undergone examination of the eye with the examination report being normal, this rules out the possibility of optic neuritis. Hence no need to be worried.

Hope this is helpful to you.
