Question: Could gastrointestinal problems or, unhealthy colon related issues have anything to do with PCOS? If not directly related, could it be promoting the problem in any way? Other than inheritance what could be the potential causes aggravating the problem of PCOS?

PCOS has nothing to do with gastrointestinal problems.
The two are separate.
PCOS is mostly aggravated by the following factors -
1. Weight gain.
2. Unhealthy eating habits - lots of rice, potatoes, fried food, processed food, burgers, ice creams.
3. Irregular eating habits - lack of protein, irregular meal times, staying hungry for long periods of time, skipping breakfast, binge eating.
4. Lack of sleep
5. Stress
6. Lack of exercise.
